Papers Please! A new biometric ID card for all Americans? Seriously?

by One Sensible Progressive March 8, 2010 The Bluff

I keep hoping this is one of those nutty bills that pops up every year, but with Senators Schumer and Graham sponsoring it not only appears serious but “bi-partisan.” Is congress really planning on forcing every American who has a job to obtain an ID c…

My Responses to Starbucks Barista Erik Forman’s Anti Gun Comments

by The LearnAboutGuns.com Author March 8, 2010 Learn About Guns

The Brady Campaign recently began targeting Starbucks, hoping to force the coffee retailer to prevent its law abiding customers from lawfully carrying a gun for self defense.  Starbucks responded that it is in the business of selling coffee, rather than gun regulation, and wishes to leave gun regulation to the government. Undeterred, anti-gun Starbucks employee [...]

From the Telegraph:
Violent attacks are estimated to be 44 per cent higher than they were in 1998 after research on the way police record them allowed comparisons for the first time.

Can You Shoot With Non-Dominant Hand?

by Jay March 8, 2010 Rifles, Pistols, and Jay

When thinking about self defense most people assume they will be fully functional during an attempt to ward off a bad guy. The problem with this approach is we all suffer from ailments from time to time and, in the fight itself, we may be wounded.
Arthritis, tendinitis, a broken arm or leg, dehydration, loss of [...]

Mayor Daley doubles down

by Of Arms and the Law March 8, 2010 Arms & The Law

While awaiting the result in McDonald, Mayor Daley is lobbying for additional gun laws. “”The aggressiveness of the gun advocates is just one reason it’s more important than ever that we work for common-sense gun laws…” He demands “changes to state law that would require background checks for those buying a gun in a private sale, ban assault weapons, require that gun dealers be licensed and limit the number of handgun purchases to one per person per month, plus micro-stamping and making it a felony to sell a gun to a known gang member (the last has major void for vagueness problems).

If there is a hell…

by Nicki March 8, 2010 The Liberty Zone

…then I hope this rancid, repugnant, twisted, noxious, odious sack of festering hyena effluvia burns in it.  For eternity.  Sodomized by Satan’s cricket bat-sized, rusty nail-studded cock every minute of her foul existence, while forced to deep-throat Hitler and Stalin in a bizarre triple penetration.

How could ANYONE with even a shred of humanity in them do what she did to this precious little pup?

Maria Aguilar allegedly crippled the dog with her months of abuse.  She faces two felony counts — animal cruelty and possession of a weapons [sic.] for allegedly beating the dog with a shovel.

The ASPCA says the dog, Spike, had “a hip fracture, a broken leg, three broken teeth and injuries to his ears.”  He is not up for adoption yet, the ASPCA said.

In addition, the adorable pup is”virtually blind in his right eye.” The ASPCA went to Aguilar’s home last month after calls about a dog crying:  “One of the witnesses used a camera phone to tape the abuse, also capturing Spike’s howls of pain. Aguilar is seen throwing Spike to the ground and then slamming him with a snow shovel.”

You know…

When Robodog first fell down the stairs and tore both cruciate ligaments in his legs, I had no hesitation about taking him to the emergency animal hospital, and later shelling out nearly $7,000 to repair his legs.  Many of my friends told me I should have just put him down.  That a dog wasn’t worth it…

I could never understand that kind of attitude.

You take a tiny creature into your home.  He’s completely dependent on you for food and shelter and care.  You raise him as part of your family.  You take responsibility for him.  You love him.  How could I, in good conscience, kill him just because he got hurt?  How could anyone with a heart do that?

He’s just as defenseless… just as dependent on his humans as a child is dependent on his parents.  He’s a life.  He’s innocent.  And you hold his life in your hands.

How could anyone abuse something so precious?

I just don’t get it.

Most. Unappetizing. Visual. Evah.

by Nicki March 8, 2010 The Liberty Zone

If you ever want to make me hurl the Cheez-Its I consumed for lunch today, just mention the sight of Rahm Emanuel, nekkid, pasty, dangly bits flopping around in indignation… in the shower with Congressman Eric Massa.

Rep. Massa describes a confrontation with Emanuel in a shower: “I am
showering, naked as a jaybird, and here comes Rahm Emanuel, not even
with a towel wrapped around his tush, poking his finger in my chest,
yelling at me.”

Video is there too.  Not of the shower scene… oh God no!!!  Just of Massa describing the shower scene.

I think I’d rather watch Ned Beatty get violated by a bunch of inbred rednecks in Deliverance over and over again.

Pass. The. Brain. Bleach.

Blade-Tech Releases High Quality Inside The Waist Band Holster For Concealed Carry

by AmmoLand March 8, 2010 AmmoLand

Blade-Tech Releases New High Quality Inside The Waist Band Holster For The Consumer Minded Concealed Carry Customers
Blade-Tech Phantom Inside The Waist Band Holster
Blade-Tech Accessories
PUYALLUP, WA –(AmmoLand.com)- With the current economic situation as it is, most Americans are looking to get more bang for their buck. To fit the growing market demand for well priced, high quality goods, Blade-Tech is proud to announce its Phantom Series of Inside the Waist Band (IWB) holsters.
The Phantom Series of holsters were modeled after Blade-Tech’s very popular Nano Series of IWB holsters. Like the Nano, the Phantom’s material is noticeable thin, yet rugged and durable. Due to its thinner profile, the holster reduces weapon printing and helps the gun and holster virtually disappear when worn concealed. As with all Blade-Tech holsters, the Phantom Series is made with a positive locking, level one retention built in.
This gives the wearer the assurance to know that while they participate in everyday activities that their firearm is comfortable secure in their Phantom holster. The design of the holster is streamlined and makes for a swift and smooth draw while concealed.
It comes with two adjustable tension screws that allow the wearer to customize the fit of the firearm in their holster. Unlike so many of the inside the waist band holsters on the market today, the Phantom Series holsters will not collapse after the weapon has been drawn.
Because the holster retains its shape it allows for quick and easy re-holstering. The Phantom Series of IWB holsters from Blade-Tech come standard with a set of durable and adjustable belt snaps. These high quality snaps allow the wear to adjust for both the cant of the holster and for varying belt widths. The Phantom is made to fit the most popular models of the Glock Series of pistols; models 17/22/31, 19/23/32 and 26/27/33. Other makes and models soon to come. Currently these holster are being made in right hand and in stealth black.
The new Phantom Series of holster can be found for sale at blade-tech.com or at your local authorized Blade-Tech dealer. The introductory retail price for the Phantom Series of holsters is only $24.95
