The Conservative Scalawag has an interesting article about a county in Alabama that’s having a severe budget crisis, so bad that it has laid off almost 1,000 of 4,000 county workers, or almost twenty-five percent of the workforce! There is concern that public safety services will be stretched even further than they are right now. Read all about it, here.
It’s just one more reason to buy a gun…
As I’ve mentioned before, you need a gun because you really are responsible for defending yourself in your home, as the police have no legal duty to help you. If you’re lucky, they may arrest a suspect, but too often all they can do is put up "CRIME SCENE" tape, and take testimony about what the heck happened.
